It will render the scene as a whole, but only the marquee region is rendered in full the rest of the scene is shown as transparent.
It will always assume a rectangular shape (even if you draw a custom-shaped Marquee. Note: You must use the 2D Marquee option. Note: Rendering time varies depending on many factors, including size and complexity of the rendering parameters, and hardware capabilities.īy placing a Marquee in the 3D window, you have additional ways to limit the rendered model.
I (revit user) use autodesk A360 cloud rendering for free (20 free credits, unlimited for students). ArchiCAD users use Artlantis for rendering.
Still use educational license for both with no issues. Haven't been a student for 3 years, nor a teacher for 4. Revit you need to read the instructions a little bit, but once you have your library of components then in my opinion it is a sexier version of ArchiCAD in terms of UI, editing components and choosing what to schedule. ArchiCAD has a morph tool which is like moulding clay. Once learning the language of revit (families, sweep, scheduling possibilities, etc), implementation of BIM is sexier and easier.Ĭomparing the two, I would say ArchiCAD is fine with no collaboration. They want Revit.Īlongside being CAD monkey at work, at home I would run the project in ArchiCAD because I want to eventually start own firm. Welcome to /r/architecture!
